Welcome to The Gathering Archives blog!

Welcome! We hope you enjoy our new blog.
The blog has been designed as part of The Gathering Archives website, which will go online in the very near future. Once the website is up and running, it will be a constantly evolving entity, which will grow and expand as you send us stuff to add to it.
I guess the best way to begin this blog, is with the following words – that simply express what The Gathering was all about, and why we were all there…
The Gathering is a festival of freedom, dance, music and participation. Your presence creates The Gathering. Take care, we are all responsible for the environment. Be nice humans.
That’s what The Gathering always meant to me – a coming-together of the Tribes in order to simply – dance. Dancing in a field on top of a mountain (or down in a valley) with a bunch of like-minded, beautiful people. There’s nothing like it. *sigh* I miss The Gathering. The whole “be nice humans” thing was a stroke of genius because it became an absolutely self-fulfilling prophesy. People were nice humans – from the moment they joined the queue up Takaka Hill until long after they left.
Somehow The Gathering enabled us all to be the best that we could be – and the four Gatherings that I was privileged to be a part of will always be a highlight of my life.
Unity through Diversity – that’s what it was all about.
What defined your Gathering experience?
Hey that is great that you have an archive site now, i would check domain every now and then over the years to see of any updates! I was part of the original crew for the first gathering and still have a ton of the gathering stickers and posters lol! but yes the best party ever, and was glad to be part of it.
OoOhhhhh i was there too – you are SO going to hear from me about those posters, stickers and your experiences on the crew for G1! I need to pick your brains!
It was the best party ever, eh?
