will also be writing an alalysis of the rubbish collected at canaan downs this year in a couple of days... 420 cigarette butts - oh the irony

Hi Jane!

The Gathering is no longer happening - sadly - but I have the perfect New Year's party for you. It's called the Canaan Downs Festival, and is being held in the same magical spot as the first four Gatherings - at Canaan Downs on Takaka Hill.

It's being organised by a team that includes many Gathering crew, plus crew from all of New Zealand's other legendary outdoor dance parties from the past 10 years. It's gonna be awesome!

Check out Canaan Downs Festival for all the info you'll need, and if you haven't already done so, check out the main Gathering archives website for more inspiration!

Hope to see you up the hill at New Year's!

Oh yeah - old Quentin was at all the Gatherings, didn't you know? You should ask Tane - I bet he remembers him strutting his stuff on the stages in the Trance zone... </snark>

Although... who knows? Maybe he was there and we didn't realise cos we thought it was all a stupid urban myth...

Yo Ali babe! great idea. you are dead right it is a little like homework (and some of us like keeping our heads down too!)
Look forward to catching up with you at New Years, thanks so much for putting this all together! it's so nice to have a place to give me a smile when I'm procrastinating at work.
