New venue for Gathering

Organisers of the annual Gathering festival have confirmed it will be held this year at Cobb Valley in Upper Takaka.
It has also been extended by 24 hours and will now last three days, publicist Alison Green said.
Organisers had been looking for a new venue after the narrow 11km road to the event's previous site, on Takaka Hill, caused major traffic problems in the past.
The road into the new site at the foot of Takaka Hill is of two lanes and sealed.
Organisers had feared that patrons might be sad to leave the Canaan Downs site but feedback had been positive. The owner of the new site, David Harwood, said The Gathering was positive for the area.
Tickets, which are available only from The Gathering website or an 0800 number, went on sale on Monday. Tickets cost $130, but the price will increase to $160 on October 1.
