Held on the top of Takaka Hill and in its third year, The Gathering last New Year's Eve drew 8000 people from throughout New Zealand and many tourists.
More than 100 disc jockeys played live and recorded music.
Alison Green, of Nelson, directed the 37-minute film, [Actually, Alison (who's from Wellington, not Nelson) produced it, and Kylie Plunkett directed it - WebEd] which shows the five different dance zones, the sea of tents, the police, Red Cross, and others involved in the event.
A discussion led by the organiser of The Gathering, Murray Kingi, will be held at the theatre. [The discussion was led by Alison. Murray wasn't there - WebEd]
